Low Molecular Weight Xylanase from Trichoderma viride VKF3 for Bio-bleaching of Newspaper Pulp
Xylanase is a major enzyme used in the paper and pulp industries for biobleaching applications. There are possibilities for xylanase with better properties suitable for industrial applications. This paper focused on a potential xylanolytic fungus, Trichoderma viride VKF-3, obtained from a mangrove soil sample. Optimum conditions for xylanase production were tested by culturing T. viride VKF3 un...
متن کاملXylanase production with xylan rich lignocellulosic wastes by a local soil isolate of Trichoderma viride
In the present study, cultural and nutritional conditions for enhanced production of xylanase by a local soil isolate of Trichoderma viride, using various lignocellulosic substrates in submerged culture fermentation have been optimized. Of the lignocellulosics used, maize straw was the best inducer followed by jowar straw for xylanase production. The highest activity achieved was between 14 to ...
متن کاملStudies on an alkali-thermostable xylanase from Aspergillus fumigatus MA28
An alkalitolerant fungus, Aspergillus fumigatus strain MA28 produced significant amounts of cellulase-free xylanase when grown on a variety of agro-wastes. Wheat bran as the sole carbon source supported higher xylanase production (8,450 U/L) than xylan (7,500 U/L). Soybean meal was observed to be the best nitrogen source for xylanase production (9,000 U/L). Optimum medium pH for xylanase produc...
متن کاملIn vitro Studies on Biodegradation of Chlorpyrifos by Trichoderma viride and T. harzianum
Although a wide application of pesticides and herbicides are an essential part of augmenting crop yields, excessive use of these chemicals leads to the microbial imbalance of soil, environmental pollution and health hazards to human and animals. An ideal pesticide should have the ability to destroy target pests quickly and should get degrade the toxic and nontoxic substances as quickly as possi...
متن کاملCellulase Production by Trichoderma viride on Feedlot Waste.
Feedlot waste contains essentially all the necessary nutrients for batch fermentation with the fungus Trichoderma viride. The organism utilizes two-thirds of the carbohydrate in feedlot waste while elaborating cellulase in quantities comparable to commercial preparations. Essentially odor-free, the fermented waste contains all of the original nitrogen but has 24% less organic matter.
